Pitch Drop Patch

Solved

I am getting more advanced with patch programming thanks to Syntorial, but I have a fairly simple thing that I want to do which I cannot figure out how to do it (I have not succeeded with envelopes and LFOs): I want to create a patch that after the note I play sound, it drops pitch with 2 semitones. What I have achieved is a patch that will drop 2 semitones to the note I play, but not the other way around. I can do it manually with the pitch wheel (to turn it down as soon as the note I play sounds) or I can automate pitch wheel behaviour via the DAW, but I want it automatically / programmed in my patch. Any ideas how to do this? So: start on the note you play, then drop pitch with 2 semitones

Sorry for the very late response. Grab a synth that allows for negative envelope modulation and then:

  • Route the envelope to pitch
  • Set the Sustain to Max
  • Set the Attack to however fast you want the pitch to drop
  • Turn DOWN the Mod Amount 2 semitones. This negative modulation will bring the pitch down during the Attack stage.

Okay, I have managed to isolate the sound I am looking to recreate with a hardware synth (I can of course use the sample but what fun is that?). It is attached. Any clues how to recreate or get close to this sound?
