Patch Request: Typical Psytrance 'Buzzing' Sound

Patch / Preset Recreated

Hi everyone, for the life of me, I can't find anyone mentioning what this sound is called, let alone how to make it, even though it is in many psytrance tracks. I thought it's just a saw, or uses sync'ing, but I could not get anywhere near it trying these ideas, there is something more to it, something simple and specific, but I don't know what.

It's this buzzing sound (that seems to move down in pitch?) for example here:

or here:

Can anyone help?

It originates from Roland TB-303 I believe. Behringer TD-3 is the clone. You might look it up under acid goa trance etc. Saw + resonance, true

Sounds like a saw wave with lots of high frequency content, I think that it's not as much of a pitch bend but rather a highpass filter with a slight bit of resonance that opens or closes for some amount. You can get the buzzy, tearing aspect just by playing low enough notes.

Hope this helps!

Is it really just a pitch bend on a saw?
