Big challenge for sound designers here, as I read that it is only possible to recreate this sound with an additive synth: I am looking to get the sound at 1:30 (the βchorusβ in Oxygene 4) on a regular analog synth (I have a Moog GM, Prophet Rev2 and Korg Minilogue XD):
Joe, any clue how to get close? And congrats on Syntorial 2.0!

Try this:
Oscillator: Medium to Thin pulse wave. This will take some tweaking to get the tone just right. 3 voice Unison with enough Detune to really smear the sound without making it pitchy.
Amp Release: Long Release, around 1500 ms
Filter: High Pass 12 dB with a fair amount of Res. Bring the Cutoff up enough to take away most of the body and create a small sound.
Filter Envelope: 0 Sustain, Decay/Release around 400-500 ms with just enough Envelope Amount to create that noticeable and moderate attack transient.
Flanger effect: To get the trippy swirling, lay it on thick with 100% wetness. You can experiment with Rate, Depth, and Feedback if you have it. This is a pretty aggressive Flanger so lean into it.
