Patch Request: High Resonance Rhythmic Sound and Pad in Verse

Patch / Preset Recreated

Hey, I wanted to reach out on here to get some outside help with recreating some of the sounds in a song I'm studying. I have successfully recreated the lead pluck and the bass you can hear in the beginning but the two sounds I mentioned are giving me some trouble. Hoping to get strong advice or a complete guide on how to program these patches. Thanks!

Resonance sound appears at 2:07
Pad appears in the song at 0:50 and 3:10

Try this

Pad

  • Oscillators: Two oscillators, both Saw, tuned 1 cent away from each other to create that slow flanging layer.
  • Filter: Low Pass, turned down enough to round it out while still keeping some brightness. Crank the Res to really narrow the sound.
  • Amp Envelope: Increase the Attack enough to give it that softened bow attack. Maybe 100-200 ms.
  • Chorus: 50/50 mix, fairly fast rate so that you hear a bit of left/right wobble
  • Reverb: A little wet, medium sized room

Blips

  • Oscillator: just white noise.
  • Amp Envelope: 0 Sustain, really quick Decay and Release, around 200-300 ms.
  • Filter Envelope: This is where you'll get that squelchy blip. Turn the Res all the way up so it self-oscillates. Then create a really quick Filter Envelope with settings identical to Amp Envelope, except make the Decay and Release a little faster. Then bring the Cutoff down and the Env Amount up. You'll have to really experiment with the Decay/Release, Cutoff, and Env Amt until you get a proper squelch.
