Hey all,
I'm using the Moog Model D app as my secondary synth when running the OYO challenges. For the most part it's been pretty successful, but getting to the fourth installment (04 Octave) I'm struggling to recreate the same tones.
For example, in Primer 2 the Osc 1, running a thin pulse wave, sounds super compressed and scratchy, almost like the noise a radio makes when it's badly tuned (usually on LW band). On my Model D I can't get it to sound like that, even a thin pulse and playing around with the cutoff and other filter controls it still sounds way too "full". I've tried to cut them both right back so I only focus on the OSC 1 tone but still no dice.
Edit: I assume it’s because Primer gives me much more control over the pulse wave, whereas Model D only allows three pulse settings. Should I find another synth?
Thanks in advance for any advice/reassurance/tips
