There's a bass with pulsating volume starting at 0:07 in Martin Garrix's Access
and it has what appears to be a noise gate / filter LFO / or other volume limiting effect. However no matter how many things I've tried I can't recreate this patch.
I'm guessing that this is a long bass note (high sustain) that has some type of volume gate on top of it driven by an LFO or something similar. The basics of what I have are 2 saw waves with short attack filter w/ medium-low cutoff, ~100 ms attack, 100% sustain quick release. I could be wrong and this could be a patch with low sustain and fast decay and just a series of notes being played over and over. From one of Martin's interviews I know he's a fan of volume gating (grossbeat).
This may be more of an effect than a patch I'm struggling with, but am hoping someone can push me in the right direction.
