Is the Semi Knob Equal Tempered or Justly Tuned?

I'm currently on the oscillator sync in Lesson 20, and I can't help but notice that as I turn the Semi knob with sync on, the fundamental virtually disappears at octave+fifth and 2 octaves+fifth (implying just intonation) but the fundamental is still present when at 28 semitones i.e. the 5th partial (implying 12TET). Or, perhaps the relatively small error between the justly tuned and equal tempered 5th simply doesn't create an audible enough fundamental with oscillator sync.

Good catch! Synths, including Syntorial, are usually equal-tempered. The disappearing fundamental at octaves and fifths is just the nature of oscillator sync.
