I'm using the Minilab 3 as a MIDI controller for the challenges, with the MIDI Learn functionality. Works fine with this slight glitch: when I'm doing a challenge, the virtual knobs reset to default, but the hardware knob remembers its own absolute position. So when I rotate the physical knob the virtual position 'jumps' to where it should be in a jarring way.
I can see this being solved in two ways, either the virtual knob should always respect the absolute position of the physical knob (remember from challenge to challenge) or the virtual knob accepts relative input from the knob. The Minilab 3 has a "relative" knob mode I tried to use but Syntorial did not seem to understand it.
Is there a better way to deal with this?
